This man is driving me insane!!!! He had 4 days off - we still need to finish painting the kitchen and there are areas that I have no way of reaching because, yes, I am short. He kept saying I (meaning himself) really need to get in there and get that finished all 4 days he said that......so TODAY he decides to get in there and start taping off the area I can't get to at 645p. I have softball game at 830p......I just don't get this.
Are all men this way for real??? He sits in his chair and makes these puffing noises and I ask him what's up? He states that he really needs to be doing something so I am just sitting there looking at him and saying to myself well get up and do something. I just don't get it. So I believe my answer to that will be tomorrow after I get home from errands I am going to start painting the kitchen because I can tell you right now he isn't going to do it. He just turned out the lights so what was the reason to tape it off and not paint? Because I am still short and can't reach that area to paint.
I know there is alot to do to this house but when it gets done it will be the way we want it. He doesn't get that you have to do either a little at a time (especially when you are doing most of it yourself) or DAM IT open up that billfold and hire someone to do it in a timely manner.
On Monday I told him to take the back off the TV cabinet and when I got back from eye appointment we would remove the TV that was in there and put in my flat screen. All that needed to be done was taking 6, yes count them, 6 screws out of the back and then just pull the back off. Well guess what I went to eye appointment and also went to fill out a job application and came back and it wasn't done. I didn't say a DAM thing. So on Tuesday, I went walking with a dear friend, ran a few errands and had lunch. Came back to the house and had her help me remove the back, move the heavy ass TV put the flat screen in its place and hook everything up. And we DID it!!! So I left the back of the TV panel off for him to put back because the screws were stripped even before we started unscrewing them. So he gets home I am in the kitchen getting dinner started, he says hello, I say hello. Then he comes back into the kitchen and stands next to me and gives me the "eye". He says...so you couldn't wait for me....I say well it didn't get done yesterday like it was supposed to be done, he says well I got sidetracked (for everyone's info he didn't do a damn thing on Monday other than cut some rose bushes back) so what he got sidetracked with I have no idea. He says well I had the drill plugged in - and of course when I went out in the garage it was no longer plugged in. I just don't get it.
I am still boggled over the taping off incident and not getting to the painting. So I guess I will surprise him again and be painting when he gets home. Oh, by the way I never told him my friend helped me with the TV situation....lmao

ReplyDeleteI guess we need to find a day that he's out working...ahem...working extra hard and will be out of the house for awhile and get it ALL done. Break a sweat and work our butts off. Then he will complain that you did it all and he wanted to help. Us women can never win in that area. Seriously, this is ridiculous the way he is being. It's called being a man for sure, but like I told you before...just start something and they WILL finish it just because they feel guilty...not that that is the goal. The GOAL is to get the house situated so you can be productive and have it the way you want it. My man is outside right now cleaning the garage after drinking 4...yes 4 beers. Hey, whatever it takes. I had 2 and we danced to a few songs on the dusty saw dust filled floor and he's happy as punch to finish putting everything away while I go get some zzz's. See you in the morning, my friend!
